History

Stratford was founded in 1991 by a team of seasoned professionals who recognized a need to meet the emerging education needs of today’s busy adult. Understanding the value and convenience of distance learning, they set out to develop an innovative style of correspondence education that would allow individuals to get a quality education – at home.

Today, Stratford's course list has nearly doubled, offering students more than 60 home study career training courses, including a high school diploma program, that can be completed through the mail and online.

Stratford Career Institute also has a long-standing history of participating in various educational forums, and over the span of its nearly 20 year history, has been approached by a wide variety of organizations seeking counsel, strategic partnerships or some form of academic affiliation.
